My d got her acceptance late this afternoon in the Bay area. Very exciting!

I'm starting to think that if some Cali applicants got their acceptances then I probably got rejected or deferred. I guess we'll know for sure tomorrow.

WY is still waiting.

sunkist, we need to stop speculating. :p Enough of this, we'll know in less than half a day.

ok, ok, i'll stop. sorry, i'm just worried and nervous. good luck to you, icymoon!

heres what I think, the california letters were forwarded to two central processing units, one for norcal and the other for socal... the one in the bay area was more efficnient and was able to get the letters out to the local post offices on time. The one in La is being lazy and didnt get to deliver our letters to the local post offices thus we should all expect our letters tomorrow

oh great.. i live in the bay area. i definitely got rejected. SIGH

Semp, that makes sense. I live in Socal, and nobody living here got letters yet, right?

sunkist and semp.. good luck to all of us socal applicants! hugs all

raindrops, I know a lot of people in earlier decision rounds who thought they got deferred/rejected because they didn't get their letters until days after the notification date when they actually got their acceptance letter late. The post office is fickle; don't let your hopes die so soon.

i think tomorrow I will and bribe the postman directly... no more of this gift thing going on...I dunno maybe good karma will help in college admissions

bay area, got it today too.
the strange thing was i dreamed about getting accepted last night (took me a while to figure out what was going on this morning...) and when the letter really came my first reaction was... "hey! it's not square and blue and made of cardboard the way it was in my dream!" :P

innsayneidiot: haha. that's hilarious. congrats on getting accepted!

icymoon and sempitern555: good luck to you guys today! yay for socal people! :)

got deferred....i'm not really sure what to think.

I got rejected :(

I'm sorry, semptiern555. I guess us southern Cali people didn't have much luck with Rice.

i'm from socal also...i had luck w/ Rice. however, i applied ed...any socal ppl get accepted? i seriously do not know any other ppl who got accepted into Rice.. :(

Well, congrats smazn, but I think other than you, no one from socal on CC has been accepted yet.
