<p>i heard from a friend that we don't get cable tv in our dorm rooms but the tvs at the lounge get cable, so if i want cable tv in my room, i'll have to order it.
i know now for sure that the lounge tvs get cable cuz i used one during CalSO to watch world cup on espn :)

<p>yes, you do get cable in your room. i believe that all the residence halls subscribe to this one provider through the university, not the local through the local comcast. to see what channels you get, you can go to tvguide.com and localize the listings to the zipcode 94720 and click on the provider that says "Berkeley - Lamont TV Sys- Univ. of CA-Berkeley".</p>
<p>You can see the listings at the ResComp site. They just revamped and expanded the lineup, so it's a lot better than what they had a couple years ago...</p>
