A cadet has prepared this video for a class. Thought you'd like to see it. She'll actually get credit for all of the hits it receives. So, pass it on...

This is great. Congratulations to the student who produced it and best of luck with the grade.

Cool video!

The class was 'Mass Media and American Politics'. A perfect video. I loved it. Nice to see that WP allows the cadets to think.

The only thing I don't understand is the title. Demoted??

I think "demoted" refers to the senator's first sentence. He, oops, called General Petraeus an Admiral. Perhaps, with tongue firmly planted in cheek, she considers that a "demotion"?

I think the video is great! And funny. And an appropriate subject for her class. Plus I like the music...this age group still listens to the oldies?

The video was great! Thanks for posting this - we enjoyed watching it. I loved the frame of Petraues in his uniform with all the arrows pointing to his brass with the names of the medals in bubbles.

How can a US Senator - the Chairman of the Armed Services mistake a 4 Star General for an Admiral?
Perhaps it was not a mistake but a planned slip of the tongue - by referring to the General as "Admiral Petraeus" was he implying that he was the captain of a sinking ship?
Certainly, it was not meant to be flattering.

I am glad this is on the Woop forum where it is not nearly so embarassing for you as it could be had you posted it on the 'real' Academy forum.

Doesn't everyone know that "General" outranks "Admiral"?

And the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff is __________ Mike Mullen.

Welcome USNA69! Hang around, Like Air Force, Annapolis might be able to pick up a few more tips and traditions from it's granddaddy!
:)

MofT: I tried to pm you (back) but your inbox is full!

Geez, I had a ton of pm's over this. It's almost like being popular. :)

Anyway, the video is gone and I don't know why. I'm sure there is a good reason.

I spread this on many a forum before it got taken off. I hope she did well.
