I'm sure about the difficulty, but I know it is always work applying for a chance for free $$. We only sent the e-mail message to those applicants it appeared met the requirements. If you didn't get the message and want to look into it please see Cal Aggie Alumni Association - Alumni Scholarship

Thanks =)
I'm gonna give it a shot anyway heh

Above post should read "..it is always worth applying" of course it is work but perhaps the highest pay per hour you make. If it takes you 2 hours to fill out the application and you earn $1,000 that is $500/hr. That is a good two hours of work. Sorry for the typo (I'm sure it won't be the only one).

For the essay portion can we write about a similar experience/leadership role from the personal statements?

^yeah I'm wondering the same

I have a question about an essay, they ask to write for that application:

"Share one experience in which your leadership made a difference. What did you learn about yourself, and how might it impact your future?"

One of my D's essays for general UC application fits perfectly to answer the questions above (for scholarship essay). Can she use for the Cal Aggie application the essay she already wrote for UC or should she come up with something new just for that purpose?

Hey UCD Admissions, could you clarify this?

My guess is that it doesn't matter since the committee reading the scholarships are probably different than the ones making admissions decisions, but I may be wrong, so a clarification would be good.

OOOOOOOo so is this letter a hint of admissions perhaps? :D:D

I got one too.

Hmmm I don't think so, I think if you meet the minimum requirements they'll send you this.

I know some people that meet the min. requirements but didn't get it

Yeah but do you know anyone who got the alumni and got rejected? :)

I’m sorry but I don’t know much about this scholarship. There is contact information at http://www.ucdavis-alumni.com/alumnischolarship.htm and they should be able to answer your questions regarding the application. I do know that not all applicants received the message and it receiving the message does not have any indication of your admissions status.
