I am currently undecided L&S at Berkeley but also got accepted to Cornell with Electrical Engineering
Both schools are not giving me a single penny because I am int'l
I am still waiting form Stanford which comes out tomorrow, but I have to decide between these two schools, just in case I don't get into stanford.

Of course, for engineering, Cal is way way better, but Cornell's an ivy and I can't ignore that. Also, I am not 100% if engineering is the right major for me.
+ I want to know how hard it is to get good grades @ Cornell and maybe a comparison to Berkeley would be the best (I want to know which school is better for me if I want to go to graduate school)

omg i'm in a very similar situation. my dad wants me to go to berkeley engineering b/c it's the top and it's closer to home, but i want to go to cornell b/c it's an ivy and it will be a completely different experience. i'm pretty set on cornell, but father isn't. we'll see how things go after i visit cornell. gl w/ stanford!

wow it seems like you are in a similar situation as me.
i was accepted to cornell engineering but nyu for cas.
nyu is 30 mins away from my house but cornell is more than 5 hours away from my house.
yeah.. and i am unsure about engineering.. :[
since my parents are typical asian (korean) parents they don't want me to go far away like cornell.. lol (i dont think it's far at all)

well i totally understand your situation.. if i were you i would go to cornell.. i mean berkley is in san francisco and i heard that the school is gorgeous.. but cornell's campus is absolutely beautiful and the atmosphere is just so lively.. plus, in cornell i heard that it's easy to transfer from schools to schools.. besides they have so many schools which you can choose from.. alot of friends of mine who went to cornell, love it there.. if you come to ithaca, you can visit nyc during the weekends too.. i mean if your parents are fine with your going to somewhere far away then..
yeah that's all i can say.. but i think you should definitely visit cornell during the cornell days! :]
