Cal Day before Admissions Decisions Day!

Herro! So, evidently Cal Day this year is on April 21st, but transfer decisions (for non-regent's candidates!) won't be posted online until the 27th!

Are any prospective Cal transfers thinking about going anyway?
I'm worried that if I go, I'll be even more upset if I'm turned down...

Thoughts? ^_^

I’m still going, they have a lot of stuff specifically for incoming transfers you should check it outtt. Plus bunch of free stuff.

Also last year i went the campanile was open for freeeeeeeeee, but there was a huge line :(

do they really? have stuff for incoming transfers, I mean? it may be worth it to go then, regardless…

maybe I can sneak into admissions and check the status of my application! haha ;)

and I’m pretty much always down for free stuff

hmmmmm

I would if I didn’t live 350+ miles away in Socal. =[

aw, yeah, it’s fortunate that I live so close! if I go, I’ll take loads of pictures and post them on CC for those who couldn’t make it!

Haha, for sure. I’m going to be really disappointed if I find out they gave away stuff like free Cal sweaters or something though. It would have saved me some money I plan to spend on all the Cal apparel and decorations once and if I get accepted. Thinking about it is making me even more excited and anxious!

Aw, man. I live in Socal as well, but I don’t mind booking a plane ticket/amtrak to SF for Cal Day - to fly there from LA is pretty cheap. I’d love to participate but I don’t think I can not knowing whether I’m in or not. It would just eat at me all day. I wish it was just a few days after admission decisions day, even just a day after!

Yea for transfers they have different events, i went to this haas one last year where they gave a tour. They also have a bunch of other cool events for incoming transfers thats completely separate from incoming freshmen.

I just went to check the place out, it was fun tho lot of cal buildings are open to go inside which aren’t open to the general public on regular days. Prolly gonna go to some transfer events this year last year i just fooled around and got some free stuff.

I haven’t applied yet but I will most certainly be going. I don’t live far and I always love heading down to Berkeley.

I’m in SoCal, too, but I won’t be going.

fyi, I think it’s like $200-220, round-trip (that’s around how much I paid when I visited), from LGB to OAK–then hit the BART, etc.

^^^ I just checked, and it’s hovering around $130 round trip at the moment.

Anyway, I just want decisions day to come around. I’m so anxiety-ridden.
