Cal, Emory, and Cornell?

Influx of African-American students at UCLA over the two years?
Demographics from 2006 says African-American students made up 3% of the entire student body; the one for 2008 says that it is 3.3%. 0.3%? Wow, that is an amazing increase.

More URM students might have applied and been accepted, but the fact behind their acceptance is that THEY HAVE A SOLID STAT, meaning they are at least around the average stat of the campuses. Their under-represented status has nothing to do with their chances. They were simply already good enough for the college with their merits during school.

I also don’t know why you quoted “private”-- the only time I used the word was when describing college types. You reused it to mean some kind of secluded confinement of thought, and all I see behind is a bitter resentment of thought.
