What do you guys think of our chances this year? I think a loss to Tennessee in the beginning of the season may kill our chances at a BCS Bowl, unless we beat SC. I think we'll beat Tenn., but USC, not so sure. It's definitely possible, though. I particularly believe these two games are going to have the most insane atmospheres since The Play. I'm so damn stoked about this season! Go Bears!!!

hell yah! i hope longshore gets his **** together, and that o-line got a little tougher, and a little more speedy. Forsett is ready.
As long as when we go to the Farm we're ready to smash on some trees, I'm gonna be stoked to see every game.

all i know is we better beat those trees ;D

i doubt we're gonna be as good as last season. we lost lynch and forsett isn't as good. we still have jackson which is a good thing. who knows what our D is gonna be like, after losing several key players.

I think Forsett, is going to pick up right where Lynch left off. He ran pretty well backing up Lynch and he'll probably produce numbers that are just as good. Cal has a pretty soft schedule this year and if we could be Tenn and stay undefeated until SC, we'll have a pretty decent shot.

Since the Stanfurd tkts are sold out, do they keep a stash for students that go on sale later or what?

I don't think our offense will be a problem at all. Longshore will be fine because he has the best receiving set in the country, and Forsett is a solid back so our offense should be pretty spectacular. Defense is the problem because we lost players off of a defense that already wasn't very good. We shouldn't lose more than 2 games, but hopefully we'll be able to pull it out against Tennessee and only lose to USC.

How does Cal have a soft schedule this year? The pac-10 is as deep as it has been in years, and we have to play UCLA in LA (where we never win) and ASU in Arizona. Nevermind opening the season with UT. I think this is a pretty damn tough schedule. Of coure I want to beat Tenn, but it doesn't really matter if we win or lose that game because its OOC. We just have to win the pac and go to the rose bowl and I'll be the happiest dude in California.

Predictions:

Cal 44, Tennessee 27

Cal 23, USC 20

Go Bears!

Offense is going to explode...defense, not so sure. I'm thinking a solid win over Tenn, and a close game against USC. I'm going to reserve judgment on SC--I don't think they deserve all the hype they're getting, but I guess we'll see.
