So I basically need to get some single game tickets for some friends on tuesday. Do people line up hours before for these? I need some extra big game tickets and need to know if i should line up earlier too. Also where are the tickets sold, near sproul hall, the stadium, what?

Also I read somewhere on the site saying July 22 they were going to offer their free freshman tickets, but it said on the homepage that over 3/4 student season passes were already sold. Do transfers get the same package as the freshman?

^ Hi. I’m pretty sure Fall '08 transfers get the same deal on games that freshman get. The only caveat is that if you want to see Stanford, UCLA, and i forget who else, its like an extra 30 bucks. I saw the same thing about “3/4ths sold out”… i dunno, im not worried.

I’ve usually found that you can get big game tickets, and just any ticket in general (not including USC, but they don’t play them at home this year) much cheaper on craigslist/ebay. Last year I bought 2 sets of season tickets on ebay for 220, whereas you usually get one set for about that price, then I just sold all the ones I didn’t need on craigslist and when it was all said and done I’d sold one set for 240, so I basically got a free set of season tickets plus 20 bucks. Getting it done online is much easier than the hassle of waiting in line for hours and much cheaper. Of course, you should still obviously get your free transfer tickets (yes it’s the same deal as freshman), but for your friends, stick to the net.

the freshman free tix are the same ones as the new transfer tix, you log in on a certain day (I think this year it’s the 22nd of July, but you need to confirm that date) and get your free tix. It’s actually just added to your student ID and they swipe your id at the game. Make sure you log on early on that day because they have a limited amount of tix and they are usually taken by the end of that same day, if you plan on buying the 2 extra games (I highly suggest you do) then make sure you log on early because those extra tix go really fast.

Don’t worry about the student section being nearly sold out because those are different, I bought mine almost 3 months ago because I no longer qual for the free ones. a few thousand free ones are set aside for new transfers/freshman and are not impacted by the season tix that are on sale right now.

good luck and go bears!!

Last year the tickets sold out in less than 15mins…so make sure to get them ASAP

that sucks…i was like football this early?? then hockee said it sells out fast…man i wanna see jahvid best tear it up!!

UCLA will beat CAL next year at the Rose Bowl. put your money on it.

If they sell out of the reserved tickets for new students and you really want tickets you can buy the regular student season

so do transfers get free season tickets at UCLA or not?

ur funny chibi…cal will own ucla…not even close

haha chibi, ucla to the rose bowl??

ohh youre serious…

sweet… only home games not road games…so no UCLA will not be included but USC will

you are an idiot. UCLA plays at the Rose Bowl. lol
and you do know that the “Rose Bowl” BCS game features the Pac-10 champion and the Big 10 champion, right? It never features two Pac-10 teams. but good try, lol.

UCLA is improving dramatically. I follow UCLA sports like crazy and after reading all of the reports from spring training, UCLA has improved their offensive line and quarterback situation (two of their biggest flaws last year). Also the defense has gotten better and the team has gotten faster as a whole. UCLA wont be a 10 win team but they’ll be a 6-7 win team at least… with one win from CAL. count on it. Keep in mind, 2007, UCLA was underdogs to CAL as well… and how did that end at the Rose Bowl?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eit1ZcphBtc

The End. GO BRUINS!

my mistake i thought you said they were going to the rose bowl…
but of course, thats the only way theyll be at the Rose bowl…haha…

ucla’s secondary was one of their biggest flaws…

as for your qb situation, well maybe a different qb (freshmans) is an improvement, although i agree with the 6-7 win season.

also the upset of usc, good point. hmmm i smell a bet…lol

Kevin Prince is way better than Kevin Craft. He would have started half-way into the season last year but because he was still a little injured from his high school days + the coaches didnt want to burn his redshirt, he didnt start. Now the guy is rocking it. Keep in mind, he was a very underrated QB coming out of HS due to his injury. And he has Norm Chow, who was the only reason why USC was so dominant, teaching him.

Also, Craft was our third-string option! If Cowan didnt get injured in practice, UCLA would have been a 6-win team last season.

The secondary will be fine. Reports are that they are getting stronger and faster. Neuheisel is something special. The guy really motivates people.

I didn’t say that UCLA will upset USC. As the youtube clip illiterates - CAL has never won in the Rose Bowl in a long time. CAL is predicted to be either 1st or 2nd in the Pac-10 this year but they have huge problems themselves. Also keep in mind that they have a tendency to choke whenever they are ranked so highly.

i hope norm chow will do better than what he accomplished in Tennessee, (suicidal vince young…lol). as for the secondary, they better get ready for riley.

i meant the upset of usc a couple of years ago too, that was awesome. yeah cal have a tendency to do that, even in basketball. so unc won, thats gayy.

this will be the year cal wins at ucla since the last time…no bet??lol

CAL’s year to win it all was 06-07 when you had a “legit” Longshore at the helm with Lynch in the backfield + Desean Jackson on the side. That was CAL’s big 3.

But yeah, let’s see how things pan out this upcoming season. Hopefully I’ll be rocking it big in the UCLA student section. GO BRUINS!!!

“i hope norm chow will do better than what he accomplished in Tennessee, (suicidal vince young…lol).”

Pretty great track record in college, and any nfl coordinator will look bad if they have Young as the starting qb.

And yeah, a couple years ago CAL was seconds away from being number one in the nation, and instead completely collapsed against OSU, as well as the rest of the season. Pretty heartbreaking.

I remember that. They decided to go for it and Reilly just… screwed up. lol

chibi, I really liked Chris Forcier, I wish he got more of a chance. I believe he’s reported to be transferring out. I think Crissman, Prince, and inc. frosh Brehaut are all better than Craft -.-. UCLA has been getting some really good RB recruits, I hope Aundre Dean and Milton Knox get a lot of reps this season. Nelson Rosario and Taylor Embree were impressive. UCLA also got a big time TE in Morrell Pressley who might pan out to be as good as Marcedes Lewis. Neuheisel did a good job at Colorado and UDub, I think he’ll turn UCLA into a top tier Pac-10 program.
