Cal Football Student Season Passes

Looks like the season passes for students just became on sale today. Who else is getting one? I just purchased mine. It includes BART fare to the city and the Thursday USC game too :)

I got mine, but rather reluctantly. We got 7 games last year, but only 5 games this year…=(

Does this Pass include The Big Game?

No big game. It’s at Stanford this year. At least the games are at AT&T so hopefully we don’t have to suffer on bleachers again

Ah, so the big game is a separate purchase. Do you know how much it usually cost?

Do you have to buy a pass to go to the games? Can you buy single tickets and still sit in the student section?

The Big Game is only separate because it’s an away game this year; student season tickets only cover home games, or in this case games at AT&T park. Last year the Big Game was at home, so it was covered.

At least for games last season, when we were in our own stadium, you couldn’t ‘legally’ sit in the student section without student season tickets. Some people would buy individual tickets and just sneak over, though. But if you buy a single ticket you’re assigned to an area other than the student section.

When you buy the pass do you have to pay by credit/debit card or is added to your bill?

You use a credit card to pay for it.

Do you think they’ll sell out soon? I really wanna go to the games but I dont have any money right now lol :(

My guess is that they won’t sell out that quickly because it’s such a hassle to have to go to SF for the games.

Got a flyer in the mail yesterday saying that Cal will provide free round trip BART tickets for all five games.

[California Golden Bears - Students](The Bench | Student Section Tickets - California Golden Bears Athletics)

“Cal Athletics will be providing all Football Student Pass holders with BART tickets that will provide roundtrip fare from Berkeley to San Francisco for each of the 5 home games. More information on the distribution of the BART tickets will be provided in the coming months.”

Also, anyone who went to the the Big Game @Stanford in 2009 will attest that Big Game tickets are WORTH IT. I think they go on sale during the season and they were around $20 last time.
