So I qualify for cal grant A. I got 5,000 for csu’s but it isn’t showing up for my CSUMB financial aid award? Does this mean I don’t get it? And also work study. I qualify for work study at another CSU yet CSUMB did not put work study on award just pell grant. All it says is:
Pell Grant 3,425 offered
Loan 3,500 offered
Does this all i get ? My efc is 2400 and I cannot go to school without more aid.
I would call CSUMB, they can verify through their webgrants portal that you are eligible for Cal A, they probably just haven’t done the initial awarding for Cal grant. They should be able to add it to your award. Also, work study fund availability varies by school, once CSU may have more funds to give than another, and it does go to the neediest students - so who is applying in any given year will decide who the school doles out funds to. You can certainly inquire about work study though.
