<p>28, according to this site</p>
<p>[California</a> Student Aid Commission - Cal Grant A *](<a href=“http://www.csac.ca.gov/doc.asp?id=105]California”>http://www.csac.ca.gov/doc.asp?id=105)</p>
<p>Thanks. Looks like I have to be UNDER 28 as of December 31st in the year in which I first receive the award. So the next cycle of admissions would be my last chance.</p>
I am 34 and I just received B last year but their site does say 28, which is why I am here to ask the same question. I would also like to know what the eligibility for A is?
That thread was from 2012, use for info only.
From the cal grant website:
FOUR CHANCES TO GET A CAL GRANT ENTITLEMENT AWARD!
You can apply for a Cal Grant Entitlement Award in one of four ways:
Within one year after you graduate. So even if you have to go straight to work before going to college, you don’t have to miss out on a Cal Grant.
As a community college transfer student, as long as you are under the age of 28.
As a high school senior.
Within one year of getting your GED.

No one here will know better than the CSAC and their number is on the site linked above.
