Cal Grant B for community college (?)

So if I qualify for Gal grant B I can get $1551 for my first year right ? On the CSAC site it says

"If you receive a Cal Grant B, you can use your $1,551 living allowance to help pay for books and other community college costs. (If you do, however, keep in mind that you’ll be using up Cal Grant eligibility that you may instead want to save if you’re planning to transfer to a four-year college.)"

Does this mean that if I don't accept my cal grant now, I could get 4 years of grants at a UC ? or 1 year of grants at CC and 3 years at a UC ? I thought that my two CC years were part of my eligibility years regardless... I'm confused if I should take the $1551 or not, I don't NEED it but it would be helpful.

My parents’ income is 47k, do you guys know if I qualify for that? On the cal grant site it says my parents make 86k(wrong info), but I contacted cal grant, and they said I need to file a repeal at my CC. I just want to know if I qualify or not, since I don’t want to do all that work and get nothing in the end.

So far, my CC’s financial aid office hasn’t been helping, because they are not in their office most of the time.

And Andrew, I’m sorry for taking over your thread. =D
