Cal Grant B question! Help!

Hello all!
I just wanted to post this to see if anyone knows how this works. I am currently attending a California community college, This next semester will be my last semester there before I transfer to a cal state university (not sure which one yet). For the school year of 2016-2017 I qualified for Cal Grant A and B. I accepted Cal grant B and received my refund last spring. For the 2017-2018 year my Cal Grant was renewed. I went to the financial aid office at my college and told them I was planning on transferring at the end of Fall and that I wanted to out it on hold till then. I was under the impression that if I put my Cal Grant B on hold, it will transfer over to the four year spring 2018 and turn into the Cal Grant A so it would pay for my tuition. Did I screw myself over when I accepted Cal Grant B last spring? I am afraid that when I transfer I will only receive only the book/fee stipend ($1559). I also read that Cal Grant B when you transfer, based on your financial need, would help pay for all of your tuition as well as gives you that stipend. Is that true? Please help! I am so afraid that I really screwed up!
