Cal grant B? UCSC?

<p>I just recently got my official financial aid offer @UCSC and for some reason my Cal grant B is missing? My cal grant be is a total of about 13,000 dollars and it's not in there. I called the financial aid office and they told me that the Cal grant will be subtracted from the UC Santa Cruz Grant at the beginning of September and class? Does this sound right to anyone? I thought it was a whole different grant, and this makes my life so much harder not know how much many I am going to be getting. The financial aid adviser also told me that I would be getting the SAME amount of money even with the Cal Grant B included... something smells fishy and it doesn't seem right to me. Does anyone else have any experience like this?</p>

<p>Sounds about right–you will get CG or the uni grant, but not both (or at least in combo not to exceed the 14k uni grant number). I don’t understand what seems fishy to you, though.</p>

<p>Oh just the fact that it wasn’t showing on my “offered financial aid list” just made me kind of worry a little bit… Thanks a lot! This clears up everything, I’m a new transfer student and just trying to get the hang of everything at the UNI haha.</p>
