I went to my webgrants for students account to view my Cal Grant status today and it said I was awarded a Cal Grant A, then I log in several hours later and it says "Application Awaiting Process" again, is this normal or has it happened to anyone before?

The same happened to me yesterday. I’m now periodically checking it until it’s sorted out. Their website still claims to be under maintenance, so I wouldn’t grab a pitchfork and torch just yet.

okay, so I called the information line and got everything checked out and it said I have a Cal Grant A awarded and should be getting something in the mail soon, but the website still says “Application Awaiting Processing”, so maybe the maintenance thing is screwing up the data

That makes sense. It’s unlikely that they’d accidentally show that you’ve been awarded a Cal Grant when you have not, and it’s been under maintenance for much longer than is normal, so I’m sure the same info will come back once they’ve fixed the site. Someone probably tripped over a server’s power cord somewhere. Thanks for the update. I’ll just await the old fashioned mail.

This happens for about 5 days in April and will happen again October.
The Commssion will be begin running Competitve & Transfer Entitlement applicants after they have ran High School Entitlement applicants.
They want to give you access for status info, but its Realtime data and you can see your application churning through the system. But that is the status.
The thought is that perhaps not letting anyone sign in at all during the 5 days which sucks also. Its the nature of running any real time data systems.
Their call center phones explode either way.

Anybody now realtime data programming or got a fix? Maybe you’ve got a job waiting at the Commission.
