I go to UCSC, and i've been slacking off a bit. My gpa is 2.31. I got an email that read "The California Student Aid Commission (CSAC) has reviewed information from your FAFSA and GPA and determined that you will not be awarded a Cal Grant Entitlement award." I researched this cal grant, and i found out that to be eligibe for "cal grant A", i need a minimum of a 2.4 gpa. After this quarter is over, i can gladly say that my gpa will be over 2.4. Do you think i can get reinstated into the cal grant and have my bill reduced before the start of next quarter, meaning that i wouldn't have to pay that extra sum of cash?

Once you have received money through one type of calgrant, I don’t believe you can switch to a different one.

I believe the disqualification is for the year but you can reapply for next school year if you bring your GPA up.
