Cal Grant GPA Submission Deadline

  • Due to the limited number of awards and keeping in compliance with state statue, CA Dream Act applicants will not be considered for a Community College Cal Grant award during the September 2nd competitive award cycle.

So I signed up for FAFSA but I need to sumbit my GPA. I called my high school’s registrar office & the high school can’t electronically upload my GPA to CalGrant/mygrantinfo because I am not currently enrolled. Note: I graduated 2012 starting fall @ cc.

I then read this: If you or your school submitted a paper Cal Grant GPA Verification Form it may take 6 - 8 weeks to process to our database.

I am a ‘Dreamer’/on DACA

Should I be worried? How can I speed things up??

So did your high school send a paper GPA verification in to CSAC?

I am about to head to my Highschool. The school will be sending it today…post marked…so I figure I am safe?

I THINK the GPA verification will be determined by the post-marked date…but don’t quote me on that. Contact CSAC at 1-888-224-7268 for official confirmation.

I took the form to the high school and gave them a pre-addressed envelope and a stamp, so I assume they filled their part out and mailed it right away. It showed up on the webgrants online account within a week. (Now, I suppose its possible they sent it electronically, but the person didn’t indicate they would and she took my envelope and stamp. This was also for a prior year graduate).
