Quick question. I'm applying for FAFSA and Cal Grants now, and it is my first time. I've already completed my first two years at a community college, and never needed financial aid for that. However, I will now that I'm moving on to a 4-year university.

My question is in regards to the CAL-Grant GPA Verification. Since I'm requesting money for the 4-year University I'm transferring to, I would assume they want to know GPA for that university, not the c.c. I went to? Do I still do the verification, but for my GPA at my C.C., even though I won't be going there/using any financial aid at that institution?

No, they want the CCC’s GPA. They want the GPA from the institution you are coming from, same as with freshman who have to provide their high school GPA. What sense would it make to have a GPA sent from an institution you do not have a GPA at*?

Most CCCs are good and send it automatically, but you should always verify that they have sent it. Better hurry, though. The deadline is this Wednesday.

*In the case of UCs, for example, you begin with 0.0 as your GPA after you transfer.
