I was accepted to stanford through their scea program, and i was filing some papers when i ran across a financial aid checklist. i've already filed my fafsa documents and completed the idoc thing, but i also noticed that i had to fill out a cal grant gpa verification form (by march 2?!).

i went online to try and find it, but it said that i could only fill out the late form. will this affect my aid from the university?

what the hell is the cal grant anyways?

You have to tell your high school to file the CAL Grant GPA verification form. A CAL Grant is a form of free money that does not have to be paid back.

Read about Cal grants here: [Free Money for College, Grant Money for College, College Grant - About Cal Grants](http://www.calgrants.org/index.cfm?navId=10&)

To submit a verified Cal Grant GPA, first check with your school to see if they will do it for you. If not, you can go online and download a GPA Verification form, fill out the student section and take it to your school. Don’t let a little paperwork stand between you and a Cal Grant.

Are you from California? I am guessing not as you don’t know what a calgrant is. If you are not from California you are not eligible for the Calgrant anyway.
