I am about to be a sophmore at a UC and I have a problem. To make a long story short, I filed my fafsa a few days before the March 2 deadline and I recieved an email sayin that it was approved and that I'd be contacted if I was missing anything. This email came on MARCH 1. I later recieved and email at 11:47 on March 2nd that read that I needed to have my GPA verified by my High School counseler before I'd be accepted. Naturally, since there wasn't nearly enough time to contact my counselor and get it done on time, I filled out a late verificafion form and listed that as my reason. Now, nearly 4 months later I'm recieving a notice saying my reason wasn't considered and "extenuating circumstance" and now I'm afraid I won't be recieving my financial aid. What should I do?
