Hello everyone.

In the fall, my counselors had come to my classes to hand out gpa verification forms for the cal grant. i had filled mine out right away and handed it back to the counselors to send in when they would start being accepted.

fast forward to the present, i had just received an email from the federal student aid commission on friday and they were telling me that they had not received my gpa verification form. alarmed, i called them and it was indeed true that my gpa form was not in the records although my fafsa was.

i guess my school did not turn in my form... the email told me i could turn in a late gpa verification form although it would have to include an appeal from the school declaring that it was their error and not mine. i talked to my counselor and he said he would handle it right away. im really worried right now because im relying a lot on the cal grant money...

my question is... how big is the chance that the cal grant people will not accept my late form? will this circumstance affect in any way the amount of aid that i receive?

has this ever happened to any of you? thanks for any help in advance.
