Cal Grant GPA Verification??

For those in California:

Basically, I never heard of this until just tonight. And now I'm finding out it's due by March 2nd. Today is March 1st, of course.

Even worse, it seems like this can only be postmarked/mailed, and can't be done online. Have any of you guys filed your Cal Grant GPA Verification Forms?

Yeah, it's a really small form.
Just your parent's signature and basic info about yourself (+ SSID#). you turn it into your counselor

I can't mail it? I'd feel kind of ashamed to turn it in to my counselor on March 2nd. =/

She'd be very mad at me. >_<

Use this link to create a login account:

https://mygrantinfo.csac.ca.gov/Admin/Admin_CreateUser.asp?id=100&mode=new

Then use this link to check your status:

https://mygrantinfo.csac.ca.gov/logon.asp

Your school may have uploaded the GPA electronically for the entire school. If they have not uploaded then print out the paper form and ask your school fill out the GPA and post mark it by March 2.

Are you a high school student or a community college transfer?

I believe most of the schools automatically upload the GPA form for you

If you have already filed FAFSA, go to https://mygrantinfo.csac.ca.gov/logon.asp and create an account to track your application status

My school uploaded my GPA form on February 23rd, but it's kind of weird that the online Webgrant status shows that they have not received my GPA form yet

Anybody knows what's going on???

So if my GPA and information shows up, does that mean I don't have to submit any additional forms?

Also, why exactly do they need your GPA? Is it a "higher-is-better" thing, or do they just want confirmation that you're enrolled? Aka, does higher GPA = more aid?

I believe there is a required minimum GPA for students to be eligible for CalGrants.

Also, my school also says that GPA is sent electronically, but my status doesn't say so. It was sent electronically the last two years, but I don't know on what date. Does it affect us if it's after March 2nd that they are sent electronically?

It's the date your school uploads the information that matters.
