For those of you who received Cal Grant, how much did you receive, and what was your EFC?

I only received about $1500 for UC's, while receiving almost $10,000 for Stanford. My EFC was at $0.

chochocho

Do a search. For the UCs, the best "deal" is the 1500 the first year and then it goes up to like $6K - $7K the last three years. You get more at Stanford because it is private (costs more)....that amount will stay the same all 4 years.

How did you receive notification? Was it by mail/email? I haven't gotten anything back yet... :(

You can check on line

https://mygrantinfo.csac.ca.gov/logon.asp

They will also send you something in the mail.

If you search CC, you will find several posts that give a really clear explanation of how it works.

Good luck

Thank you!
