Cal Grant Marital Status

Welcome to another possibly stupid question from me once again!

I just got my Cal Grant letter in the mail and created my account a few minutes ago. Everything looked all fine and dandy until I scrolled down and looked at my application information under Award Status, where it says, “Marital Status: MARRIED”, which threw me for quite a spin because I AM DEFINITELY NOT MARRIED. Even on my FAFSA, which I went back to check, Student’s Marital Status is: “I am single.” Just to be sure, Marital Status: MARRIED on my Cal Grant page is referring to my parents, not me, right? I am only questioning this matter because it says “Marital Status: MARRIED”, not “Parents’ Marital Status: MARRIED” (and not to mention the fact that this is directly under “Dependency Status: DEPENDENT”, which is definitely referring to me).

Never mind. I just clicked the small blue “i” button next to Application Information for more information and it says “For Dependent Students: This should display your Parent’s Marital Status”

I should’ve checked that earlier. Sorry for this ^^

No apologies necessary; there are no stupid questions; and being able to find answers to your own questions and solutions to your own problems are both wonderful skills to have.
