Cal Grant not posted

Hello!

I'm sorry, I'm not sure if I should be posting this here or in another forum, but I was wondering if everybody's received their Cal Grants in their financial aids from schools? I put in my FAFSA and GPA verification before the deadline but I haven't received any financial aid, really, except for some money (Scholarship Recognition Award) for filing the FAFSA on time... I mean, it will cost me over $25,000 to go to UCLA. :-O My family's (family of four) income is over $100,000 but under $150,000. I didn't get the middle class scholarship for UCLA, though I did for Davis. Should I just wait a little to see if UCLA will make any changes? Or will I definitely not get anything as far as Cal Grant?

Thank you so much!

We’re in the same situation income-wise. We don’t qualify for cal grant. I’m pretty sure the limit for a family of 4 is around $80k. The exact numbers are on the cal grant website.

If you got the email about the middle class scholarship then you could possibly get more aid from the state but don’t count on it being a lot. Look for scholarships!

edit:// I’m curious, how much did Davis award you for the middle class scholarship?

Hi AtticLights, thanks for your response! Oh that sucks… because I went to a UC my first year and got a lot of money from Cal Grant but that’s before my dad got a raise. :(

And for reference, Davis gave me $3k for the middle class scholarship  Should help enough, but tuition is still so expensive!

@toughTulip‌ Oh dang that’s barely any "/ I know exactly how you feel dude… UCLA has a transfer scholarship page so check it out!!! Good luck to you. I got Cal Grant when I was going out of HS too but now we make too much money apparently ROFL

Yeah, but I’m gonna try to view it positively and think that it just means we are better off than we were a year ago! But nice, I didn’t know about the scholarship page. Thanks for the heads up, and good luck to you too!!
