<p>I received the cal grant my first year of community three years ago. then for the past two years i have not received it, as i have filed my fafsa past the march 2 deadline. should it simply resume if i do my fafsa before the second this year? thanks!</p>

<p>I am positive this is the case. During my first year, I submitted my FAFSA in Oct/Nov and didn’t get any cal grants, but did get some FAFSA money later in spring. I also submitted a FAFSA before March (for next year) and received a cal grant this year and FAFSA money.</p>
<p>I went to my school and they said that after getting it if there is a discrepancy that its not a good thing. i submitted the first year i didnt get a cal grant in august, and last year it was in may. I suppose ill actually email the CSAC, get the scoop.</p>
