<p>Hi everyone! Quick question about the Cal Grant B. </p>
<p>For starters I am attending Azusa Pacific University. I recently asked the financial department when I should be receiving my cal grant (it paid off the rest of my tuition and I have 3-4K left over) from my understanding I should receive a check from school? Correct me if I am wrong.</p>
<p>Long story short I was told I would get the check end of semester which makes no sense to me seeing how it's suppose to help me purchase items I need for school at the beginning such as books or other items.</p>
<p>Anyone have any insight on this situation?</p>
<p>Some schools will not do refunds until the end of the semester. Some will do them before.</p>
<p>Also, if any of your bill was paid with a credit card, then some schools won’t refund the money to you, but instead have your credit card be given the credit.</p>

<p>I don’t think its fair for colleges to credit the kids when semesters over… I know I can’t fight it or anything but it is kind of ridiculous. I needed the money early semester for books and what not while I tried to take a loan out as well to get the funding I need. I got denied every step of the way. =| Thank you for the help though!</p>
