Cal Grant question

<p>I had filed a "request for review" for financial aid for my daughter due to loss of income. Based on the new information entered by the college fin aid folks, she qualified for Cal Grant A. She decided to not attend this private school and ended up at one of the UC's. Today, we received a letter from Cal student aid commission that their records show that she is not attending the private school and that she should change the name of school to the one she is attending. The money was obviously never distributed. My question is "does she still get the Cal grant money that was based on the revised fin aid information by the private school?"</p>

<p>Yes, but it will be much less. You have to fill out a form to change the name of the school or go online at the CA State Aid Commission web site.</p>
