Has anybody tried to create an account for the Cal Grant status website? It says that all you need to have done is file the FAFSA, and I already did that but the website doesn't recognize my SSN or name.

bump...................

bump again...........

I put my fafsa pin # in and it worked today. Already received award. (Not that we understand it!!)

It worked today. I put in my sons FAFSA # and already received his award. (not that we understand it!!!)

Sorry for double post:)

The cal grant status website says that they have received my FAFSA but not my GPA verification form. I gave it to my counselor. Should I be concerned that they have not received it yet?

No-- but make sure your counselor turned it in. The two requirements for Cal Grant application are FAFSA and GPA Verification. Many schools automatically submit GPA verification to Cal Grant, some don't.

Then after getting those two things done, eligibility is based on family income.

thanks! I'll be sure to double check with my counselor :]

Last year, CalGrant showed our GPA Verfication as not received for quite a while (even though they had the info). So I think there's a lag in getting the info online.

i checked mine and it said i had everything in and it gave me my amount. however, it showed on their that my income was almost $2000 more than it really is. i went and looked back at my FAFSA, but it's right on there. can anyone explain what's going on?

My GPA verification was submitted by my community college and accepted by Cal Grant as of Feb. 28. About how long after should I expect to be notified of an award, if any?
