Hi,

For the longest time on web4grants.org, it indicated that I had been awarded cal grant A and the amount was about $12,000. Now that I check today, the website indicates I have not been awarded anything and that the remaining eligibility is 0 years. Of course the website does not show the reason for "disqualification." I have no idea what is going on. Please help!

Were you selected for verification? sometimes CSAC (California Student Aid Commission) is determining your eligibility based on the first FAFSA you submitted which may includes estimates and/or inaccurate information. After you complete the verification process, your school usually notifies CSAC if your income or assets changed from the first FAFSA you submitted and they redetermine your eligibility. This is the most common situation, however there can be other reasons why you dont have it anymore. To be sure, call your school to ask.

How many semesters have you received a Cal grant?

How long have you been in college? did you transfer from a CC?

If you have gone to a 4 year univ the whole time, then you only 4 years of a Cal Grant.

If you transferred from a CC, then you only get 2 years of a cal grant after you transfer.
