The California Student Aid Commission (Commission), the state agency responsible for awarding Cal Grants, has determined you may be eligible to receive a Transfer Entitlement Cal Grant Award for 2010-11. In order for the Commission to verify your eligibility, you must log-in to WebGrants for Student (WGS) website located at www.webgrants4students.org to complete an on-line Transfer Entitlement Certification within 30 days of this e-mail notification. Failure to complete the Cal Grant Transfer Entitlement certification within 30 days may result in a delay or the inability to determine your eligibility for a Cal Grant award this academic year.

WGS is a safe and secure website created and managed by the Commission for you the student! The goal is to provide you with the resources, information and tools needed to assist you with the college financial aid process. If this is your first time visiting WGS, you will need to create a WGS account by clicking the link that says, "Create an Account."
I have question when filling out this form, what is GED and CHSPE? i m not sure which one i should select? i only remember i did the CHASSE which is the high shcool exit exam…

thanks for the heads up! just did mine : )

Bulenight, GED/CHSPE is a test in which you take to get your high school equivalency diploma. If you graduated from high school, this does not concern you.

The heckkkk I still can’t make an account. Anyone in the same boat? :(

my cal grant status still says that it is pending renewal…

So which one should i select? GED or CHSPE since i graduate in alameda high school( california high school)??

edbraga- you’re welcome, it was my PSA for the week! hahaha

edelynly- try during work hours.

^ Hmm, yeah. It’s been this way for quite some time (I tried every day and gave up somewhere down the road). I’ll have to call them. I want my money!

I have a question: I got Cal Grant A back in high school but since I was unable to use it while at a community college, how do I activate it so I receive the money for Fall 2010?

Bulenight, you don’t check off chspe or ged.

Just put in the high school and the year you graduated

Go hornets!

Hmmm, for some reason I did not receive this email while my brother did. whats goin on :[

Is anyone receiving this message?

“The information you have entered does not match what is currently on file at the California Student Aid Commission. The information entered on this page must match what is on your FAFSA or the application on file to create your user account. If you need further assistance contact the California Student Aid Commission helpdesk at 888-294-0148 or 916-526-8989.”

^ Yeah, that’s the same message I keep getting. I’m calling them tomorrow.

I got this and was rejected to both the UCs I applied to -_-

■■■!

Where are we able to check out Cal Grant status?

@External - I’m getting the same message

So I logged in and checked it out, they awarded me $10k to go to Davis.

*** did Davis go through all that trouble for and reject me in the end? XD

I feel REAL bad I didn’t apply to Comsci though. Would’ve been NO problem.

Just a quick question –

Under “College of Attendence” in your Application Status for 2010-11, is it supposed to say your community college name or the UCs that you applied to in your FAFSA? Because mine says ‘SMC’ and… this is not the school I’ll be attending next year…
