Cal Grant Verification not received. What to do??

Hi there!

So the title states my problem. Today morning I got an email from the Calgrant guys saying that I "wasn't considered for Cal Grant because of one of the following:

CSAC did not receive your Cal Grant GPA Verification Form; or,

CSAC received your Cal Grant GPA Verification Form after the March 2, 2014, deadline; or,

CSAC received an incomplete Cal Grant GPA Verification Form from you; or,

CSAC received a GPA from a non-accredited high school"

Here's the problem, I DID submit the GPA Verification form BEFORE the deadline and WAS COMPLETE and my school IS accredited. I talked to my counselors, and they have no proof that I submitted. I am sure that there was some mistake on the school's side. They have been poor in overall paper work in the time I spent there.

Email said I could apply for a "Late CalGrant", but I had to attach a proof or reason for the late submission. The Late CalGrant form also has a section that asks me to state the same reason. The principal of my HS was kind enough to write me a letter stating that I had submitted.

I need advice for the following -

What should I write on the form where it asked me for a reason?
Also, will I be at a disadvantage in terms of aid received?
Also, is the reason of incompetence on the school's side a good enough reason to get the aid?
Also, will this be an issue of just the first semister of the college or all the four years?

I am really bummed out by this. I expected that everything would go fine and now this has happened.

Thanks for reading!
