Cal Grant...?!

So I just called them (waited on the line for about twenty nasty minutes) and the rep said that it doesn’t matter when your school submits your GPA. “It has nothing to do with you” he said, hahah. All you need to worry about is having your FAFSA by March 2 and it will automatically put you as having applied for CG.

Just in case anyone was being paranoid like me, heh.

Yay. Sigh of relief. (:

Hey guys, where do you go to create an account? I’ve submitted my FAFSA and GPA verif., but I have no clue where to create my account lol.

Thanks predict! I really appreciate it.

If it says “Grade Point Average (GPA) Verification - Not required for renewal students”, it means I dont have to do anything, right ?

Oh no! I’m so sorry to hear that! I’m worried that you might not be able to if your fafsa isn’t processed yet.

Sorry I didn’t read this sooner, but you still have 20 mins!

Go here and apply- it’s REALLY easy. You might find out that your school ALREADY submitted a GPA Verification form for you like mine did. I didn’t even have to ask!

Hey edelynly,
Are you saying that we don’t really care abt submitting the GPA verrfi. form?
I have submitted my FAFSA in late Jan. But as I checked the Webgrants site today, they still have not received my GPA form yet. Kind of freak out rite now. My school fin. aid officer keeps saying “The school’s gonna submit it for you”.
And I’m transferring from a cc to a UC this Fall btw.

vphan, supposedly. Your school SHOULD have submitted your GPA (especially if you submitted your FAFSA back in January), but if they say they’ll send it, I don’t think you have anything to worry about.

When I called, the rep said it can take up to 6-10 weeks for everything to process. It’s unusual, sure - especially since everyone’s GPA seems to have been submitted a few days after their FAFSA was processed - but I’m sure it happens. Or maybe it’s your school? If the school finaid officer keeps talking in future tense maybe they haven’t sent out anyone’s yet…?

YEah maybe u’re rite. The officer said the school had to meet the state deadline to send out the GPA form. So I guess I should wait for a couple weeks to see how things go.
Btw, if the school did submit my GPA form electronically, it’s gonna take up to 10 wks to process it??? that’s crazy.

^ No, it CAN take up to ten weeks. But it might be just something they just to be on the safe side of things

^I definitely think so, too. I asked my financial aid rep when she turned mine in. She said on Monday, and it’s already posted. Maybe certain colleges have the process down pat.
