So far none of the UCs have offered me a Cal Grant which I'm qualified for and I know several of you guys and gals haven't seen an actual award for a Cal Grant (some of you guys I've read just see "qualified" but "not awarded" which is a little perplexing) and the reason might be that we didn't fill out the Transfer Entitlement Certification Form.

How many of you guys finding problems with your Cal Grants not being awarded did fill out the TECF?

Not me.

I called and they set me right up. Already shows as awarded. ;P

Is anyone else having a hell of a time trying to get a hold of someone at Cal Grant?

Any suggestions?

Lol. Well I e-mailed them and they said I have to do that in order for it to be awarded.

studentsupport@csac.ca.gov

they said they update their databases on monday so we should be able to see it in our awards page by then

Hi, can someone post the phone number that we are supposed to call to check on our Cal Grants? Mine is saying it hasn’t been processed. Thanks.

Ok, nevermind. I just got through and she said that processing should be competed this weekend and that it should be updated by next week. She also said that there isn’t an age limit to receive Cal Grants (in case anyone else was wondering).

is cal grant based on financial need or GPA?

Sweet-I believe it’s both. If you google “Cal Grant Income Ceiling” it will tell you the max amount of income you can make to qualify. I believe that you also have to maintain a certain GPA, but I don’t think it’s very high.

it is both, gpa and need.

and my award info was posted a few days ago, then it disappeared and it says “pending” again. who knows. i’ll check it tomorrow.
