Cal Housing App: For those who CAN see it

A-1

Still going to UCLA =) Unless its like a full ride to berk

b-2
(10 char)

What are your basic stats Sakura?

3.825
Molecular toxicology
prereq's-missing one that is a minimum requirement for this major due to schedule conflicts with ochem
igetc

so i guess i'm expecting a rejection

1A

... er, ya.

My other friend with a high gpa (3.9) is missing 3 prereqs for econ (an impacted major).

He has a B-2

missing 3 prereqs and still applied? ***

CONCERNED READERS:

no, i did not expect a change. Everything is the same as before when I applied during HS.
I had the same email( i think...) and mail address.

missing 2 major pre-reqs(calculus 2 and physics) and still applied.

Yesssssss

Winnnnnnn

we got it! another legit theory!

^ am i in good standings?

there are 2 possible lurking variables:

1) they update the address and calnet id at the same time and haven't gotten to everyone yet
2) it really is organized my admission

i really hope it's explanation 1.

It does seem there is a high correlation between

high stats and expecting admission -> 1-A
lower stats and missing prereqs -> 2-B

Vyan,

I would say you're in good standings. Berkeley doesn't always require that ALL prereqs be completed before transferring. I'm not exactly sure about what your situation is, but for me, the myadmission site says:

*Better prepared applicants will have completed all of the mathematics courses and at least the equivalent to Computer Science 61B.

Computer Science 61A, 61B, 61C -- it is difficult to find equivalent courses to Berkeley's 61ABC series. Students should at least take transferable courses in 1) Data Structures, and 2) Java (preferred) or C++*

Do you have a good excuse for why you're missing the prereqs? Is there anything exceptional about your application?

hhhm

^ i had to retake calc1 and just told them i will take calc2 during summer. and no

hey davis, did the statement

appear on the website "myBerkeleyApplication" under "Major requirements" or was that on assist.org? I just checked myBerkapp, under my major stuff, and it didnt have that stuff "better prepared" stuff

"There is no entry for 18XXXXXX in the CalNet Directory.

You must use your true CalNet ID (numeric student, employee or affiliate ID, or self-selected CalNet ID); other Kerberos principals for which you may know the passphrase are not valid here."

hmm, ignore wilderr's input

Hey thanks!

I got A-1.

mojo...aren't you a sociology major? If so that would explain why since they only have 3 pre-req and it says that most people who transfer from a ccc are not able to take soc 5 so if you have both intro to soc & stats then you are fine
