^Thus concluding there is a correlation to HS applications.

^ so ...

youre saying it doesnt mean admission anymoer?

Well, it could be that the information is old... and in that way, it could correlate to high school, but there are people who applied in high school and can't see it at all. It may be that they just need to update the info.

^That's what I've been saying.

Those that applied out of HS who can see it, should take it as a good sign. I mean, admissions could have just activated the old profile and said, "we'll update the information when the deadline is a bit closer."

yeah, I agree with that. I mean, they must have made some decisions by now, but not all, and the rest has not been finalized.

^ so should i feel good about myself then?

You should always feel good about yourself! haha

Okay. I applied in HS and it shows my old address.

I was rejected as a freshman with a 3.6UC 1300.

Applied as an econ major. I am a 2nd year at UCI with 3.76 at time of app and 3.62 at the time of update app. Have almost no ECs. Essays were shotty at best.

It shows my housing stuff. Good sign?

Thanks for the link vyan

I really dont think it means anything...I can see it and I have no where the stratospheric gpas people have who can't see it. I'm not even sure if I completed my prereqs.

I am an intercampus transfer though and I noticed on the UC thread that every single intercampus transfer has been able to see the housing details...seems strange.

Applied as a HS student two years ago from OOS. Rejected.

Can see the housing app. CalNet ID begins with 18.
GPA: 3.965 before update, 3.86 after update
ECs: Started UNC's only film club, studied abroad in Asia twice, UNC Honors Program
Major: Asian Studies
Awards: Dean's List (3 semesters), Freeman scholarship for study in Asia, 6 AP's

Was asked to apply for Alumni Scholarship. Essays were OK.

charlotte or chapel?

^ ok this housing thing doesnt mean anything

chapel hill

not to burst anyone's bubble, but this sorta stuff happens alot.

Remember last year, NYU ID system anyone??? ;)

Still, a lot of you are going to get into Berkeley so don't worry. Be happy :)

So I stupidly SUBMITTED the housing application, and, ummm...now I'm worried I will be rejected for trying to find out my decision illegally.

well... it wouldn't be your fault, and they might even encourage you to get on the waiting list even if you haven't been accepted yet...

Are there people who didn't see housing offer with bad stats with 17's or 18's?

I hope this is not a glitch =(

This is very meaningful. It means that they are using a database.

^^^^^okaybear

First off, it seems like everyone whose currently at a UC can see the damn app. That's got to be fishy since inter-uc is supposed to be "difficult."

Here's another theory:
I remember reading that each college at UCB individually reviews their own apps except for L&S. L&S gets reviewed by the office of admission. Someone also said that a person from housing said that housing doesn't update the database. ANOTHER person said that all College of Engineering students have yet to be reviewed. So maybe, SO FAR only L&S is done reviewing, while the others have no yet. BUT ALSO, L&S hasn't updated the first-time applicants info into the database.

Also, worriedsenior, it would make sense that you only get one CalID#. Why waste the existing number by creating a new one? Might as well just reuse it.
