people should turn in their app now....Lol, see what happens if u actually get rejected 2 days after.... that basically means, u can live in our apt, but u cant go to our school. hm.....

I couldn't see FA and got into UCLA so I'm not to trusting on everybodies theories. We can sit here and guess all we want, the fact is it's all BS and we'll find out on monday :)

the FA theory was correct the other way... all those who could see it got in

LAX, i have explained it a million times. If you couldnt see the FA before, it was because either your application wasnt looked at, or you were rejected.

This explains why you werent in the first wave of those accepted.

Or it could just mean that a decision was made on your application, seeing as people can see it from when they applied previously regardless of whether they were accepted or not.

All that means is that their information is still in the housing system. I doubt the admissions office would send the information for rejected applications to the housing office along with the acceptances. It wouldn't make sense to open up housing for the rejected applicants when decisions are being made.

lax...that's why I'm saying it reminds me of the F/A & UCLA thing...not being able to see it was not so much of an issue...I think the issue was if anyone could see the F/A and not get in...which I don't think we found anyone like that

Why would people be in the housing system if they were rejected when they applied from high school (which some people who saw the housing application before it updated did)? The whole housing application is obviously an error to begin with, but what the results of the error mean is open to interpretation.

The one thing everyone had in common before the update was that they either applied to Berkeley before or they attended summer school. For the people who applied before, all it did was signal that a decision was made on an application from the previous time they applied.

There is a very interesting person posted in the cant see it thread:

He could always see it however his information was NOT updated from his transfer application.

I think the application thing has real merit at this point. Of course, we will find out for sure Monday.

I also find the fact that the housing application site udpated TWO days before admissions decisions are to be announced very interesting.

politrix, what happend a long time ago doesnt matter, updates to the existing app and now being able to seeing the app is what matters. Two days before decisions must mean something!

It does matter because they were still in the housing system regardless of whether they were rejected or accepted. All the housing application meant before was that they applied before. You might be in the housing system now, but all that could mean is that they reviewed your application.

politrix...you might be able to see it later if they are updating in batches.

That's what I'm saying. What I'm suggesting is if they updated your housing stuff (ie you can see it now or the information changed) then all that could mean is that you were in the batch of decisions they updated 2 days ago regardless whether you were accepted or not. The people for which it hasn't changed, are the people they haven't made a decision on as of the last update.

"The one thing everyone had in common before the update was that they either applied to Berkeley before or they attended summer school. For the people who applied before, all it did was signal that a decision was made on an application from the previous time they applied."

-i applied out of High School and could not see my App until today.....

it could mean:
no history and can see it/ updated= good sign
seen it before and now can't or not updated= bad sign
no history and still can't see it= still updating in batches

-i applied out of High School and could not see my App until today.....
How long ago did you apply from high school?

are there any instances of haas applicants not seeing it, and seeing it now?

maybe L&S updated, but the other schools haven't.

i applied 3 years ago

im a HAAS applicant and i can see it....only applied to Berkeley....no UCLA...never applied out of HS....is this good???? please tell me so..

most of us feel that it is a good sign

I am saying VERY GOOD sign...

xferstd, what are your stats... All of the Haas apps I have seen cant see it however they have lower stats than I would expect (I am under that impression that at Haas "3.NO" and "4.Go."
