Sorry, that is from housing (when I login with calnet ID, option is right below normal login).

lol @ wilder for trying to prove it wrong, but didnt.

?

I'd love to prove it RIGHT, chap, because I can see the housing application.

However, an upcoming move of the CalNet authentication service requires that your CalNet passphrase be synchronized with Active Directory (AD) and this cannot be done yet because your CalNet ID 18###### is not present in AD.

So there is some synchronization going on then, which would explain why housing has people's old information.

Here is the best evidence I've seen, in any direction at all:

"Fall 2007
As of: April 10, 2007 12:00 AM

Student not enrolled in this term."

"Telebears Appointment

Fall 2007
As of: April 10, 2007 12:00 AM

Student has no scheduled telebears appointment. "

what does that have to do with admissions? 1) housing people dont have their SIRs yet since they wont be released until april 30th (so obviously, they wont be enrolled). And appointments, wth? i think thats self explanatory.

wilderr that doesn't say anything

I have the exact same thing in ucla ursa but I didn't even apply

also we don't get telebears appts until we go to calso

Soo... I got into Cal? =) maybe I'm not going to sc afterall.

Good point, my freshman friends who were admitted have "enrolled" status... but they're actually admitted. I seem to be (afaik) the only one who can access things with the CalNet ID so I'm just posting up whatever I find. BUT, if you aren't extremely skeptical about the housing admission, you aren't thinking very hard in my opinion.

I was posting that last bit because I can't enroll or change my status at all, view most panes etc (which I would be able to if their servers recognized me as an admitted student). You don't think it is AT ALL ODD that the housing system would show me as admitted, but the central system (on which the auxiliary housing system would depend) does not?

no I don't think it's odd at all

you need the 4-digit code to activate your calnetid, and you don't get that until they post official decisions... so you won't be able to log onto bearfacts until then

? I am logged into bearfacts, with an active CalNet ID.

the "you" in my post referred to people who didn't attend summer session

BORING STUFF:
"Fall admitted students are loaded into the CalNet Directory starting in early April."

NOTE TO INCOMING STUDENTS: Initially your CalNet ID is restricted to applications related to enrollment at UC Berkeley. Any service that uses the CalNet Directory for authorization, i.e., goes to this page (https://net-auth.berkeley.edu/cgi-bin/krbaws-v3) for authentication, will not be available to you until your CalNet ID has been added to the Directory.

April 2nd: Initial data for Fall incoming undergraduate students was added to the Directory.

INTERESTING STUFF:
When I try to access https://telebears.berkeley.edu/telebears/home
"Sorry, but you don't have the correct permissions to access Tele-BEARS."

I want to stress that this is with a RANDOM password (IE I'm trying to check the error, so you can do this too).

When my admitted freshman friend tries to access it with a random password (going for the error, again):
We were unable to verify the CalNet ID/Passphrase you supplied.

Does anyone else get this second message? If so, congrats.

Just had this confirmed by another admit who is not enrolled (going to UCLA), I hope noone else gets this error.

errrr

everyone gets "We were unable to verify the CalNet ID/Passphrase you supplied."

except for you

cuz you attended summer session and right now your account is inactive

Yeah, I got the second message: "We were unable to verify the CalNet ID/Passphrase you supplied."

Who know the guy who got rejected as a freshman?

one sec I'm on it

no dice

asdfasdfas

Tyvm lost, was worth investigating anyways.
