"If you are receiving this email, then you have been offered a DOUBLE
Occupancy room in a 2-bedroom apartment (4 students total, 2 in each
bedroom). Your lease would run from 8/15/09-7/31/10. Leases will be
emailed to you this week with instructions for return with security deposit."

So apparently Channing Bowditch prepares you for the news beforehand. Anyone else get their housing offers?

What do I do to appeal the placement? I applied for wada, CB and the any housing option. They put me up in Clark Kerr in a single tripple in the dorms for $16K. Are they F-ing nuts? Number one I can’t even afford that, and even if I could, I would never want to live up in that rats nest.

Any advice? I want into wada or CB…if not, I’m going to have to waste my time looking for apartments. BAH

vw_dsg, Cal hasn’t contacted me again since that email, so how long do you have to accept their offer? Just start looking for housing now, if you can’t find anything and have no place to live, accept the offer, then appeal for something else once you get there. Although in another postyou said that you would have to find a replacement for your CK room . . . so, yeah, that might be tricky. In all honesty if I was in your shoes I would decline the housing offer and find my own place to live. That price is ridiculous even if the dorms were located right in the middle of campus. I think I’d rather crash on people’s couches all year.
