Yeah… I don’t think so (I requested Channing and Wada doubles). I just moved into I-House yesterday (summer class starts today) and I like it a lot so far. I just had my first meal this morning and it’s decent, the toilets are clean, and everyone I’ve met so far has been really nice. I’m going to renew my application for the fall, which they said all summer residents have the option of doing.

It lets me go to phase two now, and this is my offer:

Unit 1

It seems I got my last choice of “any choices” as well.

I got the same thing except a triple.

Man, I was hoping for Wada. I hope most transfers got this option because I DO NOT want to room with Freshman.

eh clark kerr seems fine for its facilities, tennis courts, basketball courts, swimming pool, so on so forth but dam 6 blocks from campus?
and i checked the bus route… i need to take the 45…
the bus comes at a 30 minute interval
THIRTY MINUTE INTERVAL
is there ANY reason y i should not get a bike and ride there in 6 minutes?
oh mine is not suite >_> helloooo ladies
oh and whats with the bike theft thing the guides at berkeley keep telling me about…

I was also offered a standard triple in Clark Kerr. I wonder which transfer students are being offered the transfer student housing? Seems like I’ll continue to look at apartments in Berkeley since I can’t imagine being with 2 other people in one room nor being unable to cook for myself…

As far as CK being 6 blocks from campus, really, that isn’t too far! I sometimes walk to or from work, which is partly downhill and partly uphill and a mile long - it takes me about 20 minutes. 6 blocks should only take 10 minutes tops unless you saunter slowly. College Ave is a flat road and Haas is basically right on the closest corner to CK. Get a cheap bike if you are concerned about one being stolen.

Standard Triple in Clark Kerr here as well. Oh well, hopefully won’t be spending too much time in my room. And I can tell my parents I saved them $3-4 grand by not getting into a double suite.

yeah, totally sucks. I’m in Clark Kerr triple, even though I requested a double in any of the units. Any tips on how I can get a double in the units? Honestly, I prefer to live with the freshmen because I’m only 18. Yet some people were thrown into a unit 2 double, even though they don’t like that choice. How stupid!

Wait, why is that i got the same housing offer as daneortega, yet mine cost more??!

whats the difference between a triple and a suite triple?

^^ the price difference…
and for suites u basically share a common area with fewer people, ur own kitchen bathrooms or w/e

triple standard is more like hallways… like a hotel just that everyone shares the same bathrooms

eh co-ed bathrooms at CK is kinda freakin me out…
i mean… tell me if i m wrong but don’t girls take donkey long time during their showers and hog the basins doing their make up or w/e they do?
god save the guys !

bel0ved002,

Your offer is a suite. Mine was a mini-suite. So yours should be more spacious.

^^not to mention how awkward its gonna be the first time you are in there shaving or something and you hear someone dropping a huge stinky deuce and when they come out of the stall its a chick!!!

cheba im in the same spot as you but a dbl mini suite. i dont think it specifies whether its christian or slottman tho. meh i wanted a single anyplace but i can deal.

what if a girl forget to lock the bathroom door? What would happen if a man encounter such situation? Quietly leave pretending nothing happen or take a peek?

^^well unless you desire spending part of your Cal experience in prison, id recommend not going beaver hunting in the potty.

can anyone find the layout of a triple suite on the Berkeley site, cause i can’t find. I’ve only seen layouts for mini-suites and standard triples.

DAMMIT i can’t afford $14,000 + for a damn triple.

So how does the appeal process works?!?!

^its going to be the exact same as a dbl but one of the beds will be a bunk bed.

mang i need to appeal… 20 minute walk to my class is terrible…
i m no athlete i don’t need no morning exercise…
how do they expect me to perform if i get to class all tired…
psh…
oh oh oh i’ll get the football players to carry me to class on a royal bamboo sedan ^ - ^

sigh i m still really ****ed off over CKC
seriously who likes walking… 20 minutes… not me =.=

Couple questions:

 1. Is there an appeals process?
 2. Is CK 1 floor? (Edit: On second thought, is CK only 1 building? Or is there more?)
 3. If not, is there a transfer student only-floor?
 4. Do we room exclusively with transfer students, or can we be thrown in with freshman too?

I’m not too disappointed in CK trip.. Will just be part of the experience I guess.
