Cal mass comm vs. UCLA comm?

<p>Which one would be better for communications.. berkeley or ucla? Resources tell me that berkeley's mass communications and ucla's communications are both impacted classes so competition is fierce for both. However, I want to know which one is better and which one is easier to get into? Thanks!!</p>

<p>Berkeley comm is easier to get into than UCLA. I am not sure for freshman, but for transfer students, ucla has about a 16% admittance rate (3.87 average acceptance gpa) while Berkeley has a 35%admittance rate. (don't know average)</p>

<p>It's true. However, I think that anyone who says that the Daily Cal is better than the Daily Bruin needs to reevaluate their opinion.</p>

<p>thats what I hear too, that LA is central media industry! But I want to go to UCLA with assurance that I will get into communications... but it's just soooo competitive!! :(</p>

<p>Good but not the best, as far as I've heard. I think mass comm and journalism are a bit different, for the record.</p>

it is actually QUITE difficult, with my dad on berkeley's side and me on usc and i might have to choose berkeley becuz usc is too $$$$$$$$$

<p>Your situation hits too close to home...I really wanted to apply to USC, but my Dad refused to fill out the FA paperwork because he believed I wouldn't be eligible for any free aid. Also, he believes Berkeley is a much more prestigous school..so, yeah..i was really annoyed. Not that I don't like Berkeley (I'm still waiting to hear from them) but SC defintely has the connections..or so I've heard.</p>
