Hi guys and gals,

I’m having the worst dilemma of my life with choosing a school. I got into the four I mentioned and others like Carnegie Mellon, and Johns Hopkins. But CMU and JHU are kind of out of the question because I didn’t apply for their best programs (computer science and biomedical, respectively). I applied to all of my schools undecided engineering. So, my dilemma lies with these four:

Cal: 3rd in Engineering. Never been there, but I hear they have a nice city and campus. People either hate it or love it, and I’ve known a few who went from the former to the latter.

Northwestern: 13th in Engineering. This place was my first pick because of its Chicago background.

Cornell: 8th in Engineering → best among the Ivy League. I’ve Ithaca is in the middle of nowhere and that all there is to do is drink at Cornell. GREAT FOOD! (not my top criteria, but hey I’ll be living there for four years… gotta consider what enters my stomach)

UPenn: Tied for 28th → one of the worst Ivy League Engineering schools. Amazing prestige and whatnot. Philadelphia… enough said.

I’m also considering what I will do after college. Currently I’m planning on entering graduate school of some sort, perhaps some engineering or medical school. And as I mentioned earlier, I’m an undecided engineer. So, mainly I’m interested in the comparison of these four schools’ engineering programs. And if you can, please IM me at The Kimchi Eater and I’ll talk with you one on one. Much thanks in advance.
