Cal Poly ED accept link?

So I’m really excited! I just got into Cal Poly’s architecture program early decision! Anyways, I was reading the terms and conditions and it said you have to press the accept link in the Student Center, but I couldn’t find it anywhere. Does anyone else have the same problem or know where to find it?

Try posting your question in the Cal Poly forum: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/cal-poly-san-luis-obispo/ Someone there will know.

Congratulations!

I'm in the same boat. I read on one of the tabs that it takes 24-48 hours before the accept button shows up. I'm guessing that they want you to think about it for a while before accepting/rejecting. Maybe it will be there by tomorrow ...

Yeah, Im having that same problem..

I dont get why there is an accept and reject link...I thought early decision means you have to accept automatically

The accept link will be up either tomorrow, or wednesday..

when do you think the rest of us will get an answer. do you think they're doing the acceptances now and the rejections later.

No I doubt that.. I would guess they havent completed processing everyones application yet. Personally I applied October 1, which is the earliest that you can apply early. I think they are accepting/denying in a rolling process. Good luck

Mine isn’t up either =(

I just got accepted to Architecture too
but I have a question, why do they have a “decline” choise? isn’t ED binding?

Having gone through this last year with my daughter I can say that the ED decision is not binding until the date specified in your offer as the ED decsion date (usually about Jan 15, as I recall). Only on that date do the ED committments become final (either you accepted or declined). In fact you can accept, decline and reaccept during this period (my daughter did that last year). All that matters is the status when the decision period ends.

Sure hope THAT is true!

so by declining the ED wouldn’t be binding anymore?

From going through this last year, you are bound once you accept the ED. The reason for not accepting must be financial, although I saw another poster indicate health issues also count. That makes sense to me. You can’t decline just because you decided you want to go somewhere else. There has to be another reason, such as finances or heatlh that lead to the change.

What if you don’t accept or decline…?

i think they assume that you decline their offer for admissions. i readit some where, i forgot where
