<p>I was surprised and overjoyed to find that I was accepted into Cal Poly’s English department. My GPA (3.85 UW) and SAT scores (590M, 720CR, 760W) are good, but not great, so I was pretty darn excited when I found out was accepted. </p>

<p>I just wanted to know what the department is like, cuz I haven’t been able to find out very much about the English department online. I’ve applied and gotten into a few other private schools (Azusa, Pepperdine, University of the Pacific, and a few others) but they are all CRAZY expensive, so I’m leaning towards Cal Poly just cuz its about 20-30 thousand dollars cheaper, but I would like to know how good the department is before I make any decisions. Insight anyone??</p>

<p>You should search up my post from a few days ago. I also got into the English department and am trying to decide between Poly and UCLA (if I get in.) It’s such a hard decision to make!!!</p>
