My D is anxiously awaiting a decision from Cal Poly. Probably her top choice, although she won’t admit it. Any news on when we should hear? We are oos so don’t hear much buzz around here about the Cal State schools.

For some reason I thought that we would be hearing from Cal Poly in the middle of Feb which is coming up soon. After my last post I checked their web site and it said decisions don’t come out until April 1. Is this really true? They make us wait that long? Where did I get the mid-Feb deadline from. Yikes! This is going to be a longer winter than I thought.

I believe decisions come out BY April 1.

My son (Computer Science) received his acceptance on Feb 22 last year. As I recall, they did start around mid-Feb.

My neighbor’s daughter also got acceptance in Feb last year. I think she is a business major. It seems in the past couple years, decisions started to come out in Feb but some didn’t hear until Mar. This year might be different though.

Last year a friend’s son heard Aero Engineering in Feb. My son is waiting to hear this year for Mech Engineering.

My son, AERO, now in the middle of his 2nd year, heard in late February.

Last year, my daughter received her acceptance letter last week of Feb.

My friend got accepted this past weekend to both SLO and Ponoma. Not sure why his decision was this early, I thought it would be later in March/April.

@warlands719 what was your friend’s major?

@warlands719. I know that CPP decisions were out last weekend. But this is the first time I heard of SLO. No one claim to be accepted in SLO forums last weekend.

Hmm, that is very strange. I’ll ask him tomorrow about his major, all he told me was that he got an email that he got accepted. Strange.

He applied as Bio if you guys still want to know.

Are you in the local area for Cal Poly? I think it’s possible some of those decisions come out earlier.

One of my daughter’s friends was rejected yesterday from Cal Poly in Math. She had a low GPA 3.5 and ACT. Central Valley area.

DauCal17. Which Cal Poly–Pomona or SLO?

grodgr: SLO

@DauCal Was that 3.5 GPA UC weighted or unweighted? I have a 3.64 UC weighted and 35 ACT (35 english 36 math 34 reading 35 science)

My son just checked his portal- still no decision. We haven’t heard of anyone around our area (Vent. Cty.) who has heard yet.

@thenexus: Sorry, I don’t know.
