Has anyone OOS got their letter in the mail yet?

@collegekid59 In state

Anyone hear back yet for rec, park & tourism admin.?

Rejected OOS Engineering.

3.128 UW
33 ACT (36 Math)
Meh Essays

Didn’t finish my app on time.

@KyleGC No. It’s been 10 days since the portal notification.

JUST KIDDING I WASN’T REJECTED 2 POSTS AGO. That was meant for UT Austin, LOL.

Im a little curious as to how cal poly is sending out their admission decisions. Is it by applicants application # or by their actual decision (accepted, waitlisted, etc.)?

Getatyou -

I have a D attending CP now and an S awaiting an ME decision. Yours is the question of the day. Even several private college counselors don’t really know the answer. D was admitted to Business in 2010. I kept a screen shot of her acceptance and it was Feb 18 or 19th of that year. Her portal changed in the early evening. This was many days after acceptances started going out. S has had a number of friends accepted - but not heard of any ME’s.

Maybe it is a random number generator written as a senior project by a CS student that determines the order ;). Hang in there.

Has anyone been accepted yet for liberal studies?

I was admitted for liberal studies; my stats are on page 10, I think. I also took 7 ap classes in my hs career, which means my Cal poly GPA should be significantly higher

^ actually your cal poly gpa is capped at 8 semesters of honors/ap classes. So theres no difference if someone took 4 APs or of someone took 10

Accepted on the 22nd!
Political science major
3.9 w
1900 SAT

Yes, but if those semesters are 5s, it should raise the GPA by a bit. Also, the csus want to see a challenging courseload throughout the student’s high school career

S still waiting on in state ME, too. High GPA, decent scores, lots of ECs and leadership.

Accepted about a week ago into biomedical engineering.

@storme: What are your stats? Instate or OOS?

As the waiting is driving me crazy, I called the SLO admission office to get information first hand. Here are the admission officer’s verbal response re release of admission information:

Question: Are you doing rolling admission?

Answer: No, we are not doing rolling admission. With 49,000 applicants, it is difficult to release results at the same time.

Question: When will I find out my application result?

Answer: The admission office has started releasing its since last week and will continue throughout this week. The release of result is real-time. You should keep checking the portal.

Question: Does your office release of application result according to last name, major or application date?

Answer: No, there is no “rhyme or reason” in the order of release of the application results. Please keep checking the portal.

Athena, THANK you for that information. That is what we have all been wondering. Now to go check the portal again…

I got waitlisted as an economics major.

S got accepted for Aerospace Engineering. It’s a fantastic to have as an option! So far this Grinnell, Pitt, and Alabama.
