Cal Poly Fall 2013 Admission Decisions

maybe cal poly releases admission by last name?

Honestly I doubt it. My last name is Ventura. Unless they went from Z-A haha

Has any business majors been admitted yet?

My D’s friend was accepted into business.

I’m a business transfer still waitin to here, in state

Ya know, I was feeling really worried this morning after reading about all the high scores and such of those getting admitted.

My son applied for Computer Science, and we absolutely love the school after having visited last Spring Break.

So, this morning he is going through his spam folder in his gmail. And guess what was in there. An acceptance email from Cal Poly.

So we are freaking out over here! LOL that a Computer Science applicant had to get the acceptance email out of his spam folder!

Anyone heard for Kinesiology yet?

was it on the portal first? and is he a transfer? is he OOS?

@chelsea325 - Definitely not, my name is dead in the middle of the alphabet and I was accepted on the first day.

Anyone been accepted or heard of anyone who has been accepted to recreation, parks and tourism administration?

Darn! Nothing in the spam or junk email folders! Now we have to wait until the three day weekend is over.

Portal decision is first, then the email later

It seems as though its just OOS and transfers atm.

Regular decision in-state freshman haven’t been reported/released yet.

I normally do not write on this kind of thing but I felt my information could ease a few of you worried students and parents. My daughter has also applied to the RPTA major as a first time freshman and is a CP recruited athlete and has not been given a official acceptance on her portal. I also have a daughter who was a transfer student last year that was accepted after the freshman applicants which took just a few days. They start with College of Ag. Majors and go from there (last yr it was alphabetic) so Business was next and I think that is the normal practice for CP. This year could be different but All of her friends trying to transfer this year have not been accepted or denied yet. I’m not sure about the random acceptances I’ve been reading about on this thread but the majority of applicants have no decision yet. Hope this helps. Good Luck.

Omg it certainly helps (I’m a transfer student)… Definitely just made it little easier to get through this weekend :)

Has anyone heard about any child development transfers getting accepted or denied yet?

Econ major, CA native, no word yet. They said admissions start late Feb so I’m not worried. Hang in there everyone!

Commiserating with the group of nervous waiters… Every morning I ask D if she’s checked her portal. Still, “no determination at this time”. In state (LA County) freshman. She comes from a private high school with no AP classes. So-so SAT/ACT. (Maybe I should have paid for the private SAT $125/hr tutor?) Fabulous ECs and professional (paid and credentialed) work experience. (not that anything but raw numbers matter to CA State schools) I’m more anxious than her. Cal Poly tuition is within our budget… She has six other quality acceptances which relieves the pressure somewhat.

I called and asked, and the lady said they typically go out around mid March until April 1st. I was kinda confused when she said that, since some people are starting to get decisions already.

We’ll see. I’m pretty nervous. 3.2/3.3ish Cal Poly GPA, 35 ACT.

I was accepted last week.
4.0 cal poly GPA
31 ACT
Non CA resident
