Does anyone know about Cal Poly Graphic Communications program.

It’s probably one of the best liberal arts majors at Cal Poly. The program is pretty well recognized in the industry as well. It’s very hands on and the professors seem to be well liked. I wasn’t a grc major, but I knew a few.

Thanks for the info.

Can anyone here chance me for the graphic communications program? I think it could go either way for me being admitted.
Weighted GPA: 4.05
CSU GPA: 3.95
SAT (1600): 1240
I have taken 5 AP’s and have passed them all, and I am taking 3 more this year, totaling in 8.

I’m confident in my GPA and course load, but I fall a tiny bit short in last years average admitted SAT scores by 19 points…

Take the ACT – the school actually prefers it. They will accept the SAT no worries. But we only submitted ACT scores and it was fine.

@osakada
I took it and got a 26, which is below the average 28. I didn’t send it because I couldn’t imagine it helping me when I’m that far below.

ssb146, Do you in CA? Which county?
Did you apply to any private’s? With those stats and a half way decent portfolio you stand a nice chance of gaining merit aid at a private.

Could you tell me my chances of getting in into the Grc major?
I have a 3.88 unweighted GPA & 4.0 weighted
I have not taken the SAT or ACT yet but judging by my PSAT I will be in the 1300’s(out of 1600) range & I will prob take it again & get my score as high as possible. I have taken art classes & senior year I will be taking AP art (would that help at all?) I’ve also taken a few other AP and honors

Did you guys end up getting in?
