<p>My son was accepted to Cal Poly SLO's Industrial Technology major and UC Santa Cruz's Biomolecular Engineering/Bioinformatics major.</p>
<p>Yes, I realize that he's chosen two very different options, and I can say that he's not married to either potential major.</p>
<p>In the event that he asks my opinion, what's better, and why?</p>
